Is There a Difference Between Ink and Toner?

It seems like a silly question to ask the difference between ink and toner, but the debate has come by my ears multiple times now. Of course there is a difference between the two. If they were the same thing then why would you even have the option of buying different types of cartridges for your printing needs?

So what actually IS the difference?

Well we all know what ink looks like. It is a pretty easy process to understand how this liquid can stain your paper.  However, a toner is different in appearance and the process is not the same. They are instead purchased in powder form and heat actually infuses the powder to your paper.

Even the types of printers used are different for the two products. You are going to want to use a laser printer if you desire to use toner. You are going to use an inkjet printer (obviously) for ink cartridge products. Are the differences becoming more and more blatant now?

They also both target different uses and delivery different levels of performance. If you are just working at home, you do not need to waste money on laser products. They tend to be more pricey and fit the business and heavier demand profile.

Both options are capable of getting the job done. It is just a matter of what you are looking for and the tasks you need to complete. Now that you know some key differences, you can properly scope out your cartridge options.

Compatible Laser Toner Cartridges For Your Printer

Do you need a toner cartridge for your printer? Are you looking to save money? Well my friend, that is where compatible toner cartridges come in. They work just as well as OEM brands but are far less costly. You don’t have to sacrifice quality when you’re saving money.

I’m a college student, so I want the most “bang for my buck”. I normally order my new cartridges right online when my printer runs out. Some people aren’t even aware that you can buy compatible laser toner cartridges for your printer on the internet. You don’t have to buy expensive OEM branded products, as compatible products print just as good.

I’m sure you are thinking that this means the quality of your product isn’t as good as a brand name product. This is not true at all. A compatible toner has the ability to be just as good (or better) than an OEM branded toner. They are made with the same standards for your printer as your OEM products are. Not only are compatibles ready for your everyday use, but they come with a warranty! That’s got to say something to you. People don’t just give out satisfaction guaranteed warranties if their product is a lemon. I am not trying to say you shouldn’t buy an OEM product, but why not save and buy a compatible product if you are getting the same result? Plus there is a good chance the people making your name brand cartridges are the same people manufacturing your compatible toners.

You are bound to have a positive experience when purchasing a compatible laser toner cartridge. Just imagine how much money you could be saving!
